The Koopalings and I have taken over the Mushroom Kingdom! The princess is now a permanent guest at one of my seven Koopa Hotels.

(reading Bowser's letter) " Dear pesky plumbers,.

" Nice of the princess to invite us over for a picnic, eh Luigi?".

" Well, maybe a Koopa will lend us his! If we 'persuade' him.".

" How are we gonna find the princess with the power going out?".

" Looks are deceiving when Koopas are involved!".

The Princess, now able to rule her kingdom in peace, thanks the Mario brothers, giving them both a kiss.

With the hotel's owner defeated, the brothers flee the building with Princess Toadstool before it collapses. They eventually enter a palace where Bowser resides. As they visit the first six hotels, Mario and Luigi find the Princess several times, but on every occasion she disappears out of their sight, ending up in another hotel. He reveals that he has taken control over the kingdom and made seven hotels there, at one of which Princess Toadstool is being held as a "permanent guest".

At the entrance, however, they find a message from Bowser. Having been invited for a picnic by Princess Toadstool, Mario and Luigi enter the Mushroom Kingdom.

The hotels represent different building types with various locations, including a tree, a mine and a cloud. Each hotel in the area is guarded by one of the Koopalings and their henchmen. In the Mushroom Kingdom, Bowser has built a hotel resort for the use of himself and his children, renaming the land Klub Koopa Resort. Spoiler warning : Don't you even dare read the spoiler! Because if you do… Hoo hoo hoo hoo hoooooo… A horrible fate awaits you.
